Planned Upgrades:
(I will do these when I have time, which may not be for quite some time, as I am very very busy with fall quarter of college. it could be several months till these things are completed. I am working on this list from the top down.)
My 'To Do' List. Each day I try to mark at least one of these things off.

MOST IMPORTANT:
~ players with spaces in their names cannot create houses
~ ??? make it so npcs created with the [o] thing in the boss area arent bosses
~ ??? sword needs a limit to how many times you can swing in a row
~ make a list of trophies in game and dont let players pick up anything without those names
~ make it so cheats can only be used in the world that the password for the cheat was used
~ dimprove lag situation when theres no other players in the server
~ release newsletters
~ add warning about no more houses for sale
~ add webpage for players to revert their world back to previous saveds

GOOD:
~ fix sounds and music up
~ add button to disable and enable sound specifically
~ add button to disable and enable music specifically
~ money driven marketing

PROBABLY WONT EVER DO:
~ indicator to show map editors which directions objects are in
~ some npcs arent done being animated
~ add a function to allow mappers to teleport to their world but not to any world they want (and fix other mapper exploits)
~ npcs cant be made to be friendly/non hurting
~ expand the discussion board into 4 sections: General Game Discussion, World Discussion, Mapper Discussion, Off Topic
~ 'my account' bubble + messaging system like in BO
~ ip suspension system
~ notification page where players can see which worlds have had recent modifications

   Added offline mode to the game so you can keep playing even though I am having issues with my webhost. This may take some time guys, sorry. It could be months before multiplayer is back. Hopefully days. Perhaps weeks.

    I have gotten a lot done in game the last couple weeks. Sadly I wont be working on the game as much the next month. I will continue adding a new playable character a week though. Heres what I did the last two weeks though: Allow for a larger screen size option (although that will be more laggy). Added a player housing system. Housing: allow trophies to be dropped and saved in house. Housing: allow players to edit their houses NO NPCS. Trophy requiring elevators added to game. Improved password system. Quick select window updates. Added bulk sprites of common tiles and green water. Disabled /edit unless you are in your house or can provide a password. Add information about player housing in HOW TO page. When game is saved by dev add information respose that will tell them about the servers handling of the data. Change color of chat names so they are easier to see. Add chat bubbles to show who in the area is talking. The screenshots on the right are old and boring so I updated them.

    I did a couple things around the site today. add script to directly email me. fix the discussion board so it doesnt show errored out messages. raise packet delay to help with multiclient lag. made 'save trophy to inventory' button more clearcut.

    Today I did the following: Server upgrade to lower down time, automatic server restarts. Inventory upgrade, more inventory space. Many trophies and bosses need to be recorded on site (icons need making). Red npc man walks backwards. Fix box and bag trophy holders to make them work when you down click.

    Koli has finished Jungle World, and it is now accessable from World 1. I did some glitch fixes today, but just minor things. Please report any glitches, I am very interested in fixing them. Since there are so many trophies now, I am going to add a trophy window to store them all sometime this month. Also coming this month, a newsletter and ad campaign that will increase the amount of players significantly. Keep visiting!

    I attempted to fix the trophy glitch again, because it was still happening on occasion. This time I think its a good fix. Added the weekly character, and added portals in world 2 to all the worlds that are still in development. Fixed discussion board glitch that prevents players from responding to threads. Fixed some small glitches in dev tools. Fixed toad trophy glitch.

    Cleaned up my scripts a lot in attempts to lower lag and glitches. Theres still a lot to do though as far as that goes, and I ended up making so many glitchs that I dont know when Ill take up the challenge of optimizing scripts again. Also approached some specific glitches... Glitches to be fixed:
teleporters require you to drop trophies on floor to activate, XXX maybe fixed.
trophies have background shine that lags game, XXXX fixed.
?sounds? have memory leaks, XXX waiting for check.
picking players up leads to not being able to throw them sometimes, XXXX fixed I think.
picking trophies up sometimes immediately throws XXXX fixed maybe.
teleporters not showing altered list of required trophies XXX FIXED.
players sometimes die but can still jump and dont respawn
players die when they touch npc instead of losing hitpoints XXX fixed maybe.
optimized loading time between areas, but realizing that the loading times are still severe, I added a please wait window to make it clear that this is normal.

    Added Death Count to players page, and Points/Death ratio. A note is made if you are in the top 10 for any of the three, points, deaths, or points/death ratio. I will probably base trophies off of these three things in the future :-)

    Glitch fixes today. Added Chaos Trophy to unlock Chaos character. Added Uber Boss, who is extremely hard to kill and you only get one shot to kill him or you have to recover all the trophies again to try again. Have fun. Fixed numbers that pop up over heads. Added system for gaining points. Killing the same NPC twice in one day will not get you very much XP. Every 24 hours your kill list is reset and you can kill again to your hearts desire with full points. Added a new trophy, the Sewer Trophy. Its in exploration world. Also added a new weapon, a sword. It is very powerful, and cannot be taken out of the sewer/township areas.

    Added the uber character, Medabot. You can only play as Medabot if you are the point leader. (right now thats killer). Also theres a character of toad that you can unlock by finding Toad's Trophy.

    Drew icons for all the trophies. Show the icons off in your player profile or save them and use them as buddy icons or banners for your site or myspace. Visit the banners page for a full list of trophy icons. Also added was icons for each world. Changed World 2 significantly. Made the how to play section very pretty. Changed it so Mario can only be chosen by World Developers and the Points Leader... Because Mario is uncolorable still (I made him colorable once but I lost the file so SCREW THAT I am not wasting my time on it again). Master Chief is choosable by the top 5 point leaders. I added something of a system for the point leader thing. Oh, new characters... Yoshi and Pikachu. And Sonic too, he is colorable.

    Fixed a bunch of glitches tonight. I played through the whole game collecting trophies. I think there are like 17 trophies already! I had to add slots just to hold them all at once. :-) Fun stuff.

    I am spending today working on an offline version of the game to submit to the various sites that allow you to upload games. I will use the offline version to advertise the online one :-) Hopefully it will help get more people coming to the site and playing. I am also posting stuff about the game on various sites, and I encourage anyone reading this to do the same to help get more players.

    Released new build mentioned in post below. Also includes fixes for falling forever should lead to auto death. And also no fire if its at the very very top dont show it. add dazed effect when someone picks you up. let players hit each other with weapons. firelord drops trophy onto flames. trophies dont save. dont let people cheat without a password. add indicator that shows you where nearby players are. fix the thing that shows you where all the players are. some ground is killing when it shouldnt, ice boss teleporter killing. Cant post replies or create threads with a ' symbol in them.

    Finished the next build, I will release it in one or two days. I still want to fix some glitches listed below before releasing it. It does the following: Fixed glitch that prevents players from coloring their mario characters. Added shields and automatic guns. Shields give your character the ability to absorb bullets without dying. Automatic guns are more powerful than normal weapons and fire automatically when you hold down the down arrow key. Both can be found in the new Halo World (and only there), a world based off of the game Halo. Halo World is not done yet though. Heres some screenshots of the upcoming world:

    Added point pop ups showing when you get points. Added Master Chief from halo as a playable character. Changed point system so that different npcs give different points. On average about 3 times more points are given per npc. Current points have been multiplied by 3 to make up for point loss.

    Fixed network issues that caused lag during multi-client play. Fixed glitches that showed visible blocks beneath clouds in world 8. Fixed multi-client play glitches. Updated Exploration World significantly, adding a hidden trophy and a boss called 'Big Dawg' as well as teleporters to all the other worlds and arrows leading you to them. Added alert when someone dies. Added popup when you die. Added background music. Added sound effects for teleporter, death, npc death, join, exit, messaging. Fixed ball and box glitch. Decreased spawn speed on npcs. Fixed kitty animation. Added new backgrounds. Added randomly generated default backgrounds. Added /help command. Finished Volcano World, sorta, still needs finishing touches.

    Done with school. :-) Updates today! Added some sound, but I plan to add more. Fixed a lot of glitches. Added boxes that you can move and throw around, but they arent totally done yet. Find them in world 2.

    The game and website are almost completely up and running. Once things are finished up, I will not be working on the game regularly anymore. Please continue to tell me about bugs and glitches as I am much more inclined to fix them right now!!
    Things that need to be completed still: marios color customization, finish how to play guide, finish development guide, ?add sound/music?, fix bugs related to player vs player.

    The website is up :-) This is my first news post. CND is a really new game as of now, I created it over the last few months. I am working on making it so you can color your characters next, right now choosing your color is pointless.
